Yes.

All high level operations will be be done with a large number of individual CPU instructions. That is the way all computers work.

I think any high-level operation will be converted to 0 and 1 codes by CPU, then they will be done by ALU within CPU. Then they will be stored in RAM or HDD and when a user wants to see the results, those 0 and 1 bits will be back converted to high-level items (images, writings, graphics etc) to be seen (and acceptable) by users/human beings. Is my thought right?

Now where are those 0 and 1s stored? I know they are on HDD or RAM but what is the name a unit that stores a bit whether that bit is 1 or 0, please?
