Outlook 2010 Prox64. When viewing emails I noticed what I think is called a "People Pane" at the bottom of the message. It can increased/decreased in size with the use of an "arrow" on the right side.

The second installation, on a separate HD, had a People Pane area on the ribbon which allowed me to eliminate the annoying little thing. The 1st install doesn't have this People Pane area so the Pane is still a pain.

Maybe it's a "Beta" thing, but I'd like to be paneless.

Uninstall/Reinstall didn't do it. Any ideas appreciated and rewarded with warm feeling of helping.

Provided the ribbon is open, from the View tab, right-hand side, People Pane, just shut it off, if in fact that is what you are after.

That is exactly what I was looking for - thank you. The old forest through the trees syndrome.

Hi there

I HATE it -- thanks for the tip to get rid of the wretched thing.

Don't developers of these things ever realize that sometimes people are actually in a WORKPLACE where you don't need this type of distraction.

Things like net meeting (and equivalent) are fine but should be enabled / disabled by the USER rather than have them turned on by default and making the "Off" switch obscure to find.

If i'm working on preparing an important presentation for work the last thing I need is zillions of messages appearing all over the place -- Twitter is bad enough -- I hate that too.

Love Victoria Bitter (the "green tinnies") though when I'm in 'OZ.

Cheers
jimbo.
