Hello:
I have MS Outlook 2010. severl issues with the program, first installed June 10, 2011.
1-When I sent out messages, the sent message does not save in the sent items folder. I have looked at theoptions and I have checked any thing that wiould instruct the program to save sent emails in sent folder and still it doesn't do it.

2-The "categorize" buttons come alive and show up when I look at the folder of 2007 old emails, ones received before I installed the Outlook 2010. When I switch to the messages downloaded after June 10, 2011, the categorize button becomes opaque and dow not work.(Categories buttons were a time wsaver for me).

3-I have 3 difffernt email accounts tiled to Outlook and, unlike the previous Oulooks, the 2010 versioan keeps the emails accounts separately. Is there any way to get rid ofseparatelfolders and show all emails from all addresses in one foldre?

4-rules were very easy in the 2007 and pror versions. I had several and it made my lie easier. Now when I make ruels for speicfic senders' emails to be all sent to a specific folder, it doesn't work.

5-When i restored my .psi file into the new computer, the contacts did not come over. Basically I have to retype all the contacts.

I went to the control panel a few hours ago and clicked on repair for MS home and office. After the repair and restarting the cmputer, no change to Outlook 2010.
Thank you very muich for your help.

In regard to #3 -- Click on files, select Account Settings. On page that says email showing accounts at the bottom there is an entry that set the delivery folder. You should be able to deliver all mail to one in-box.

In regard to #5 -- You need to export your contact from your old account and then import them to Outlook 2010. I hope you can still do that (maybe you have a backup somewhere)

I can't answer all your questions so I'll answer those I can.

3.You can choose a new or existing data file here:

5. You need File>Open>Import then choose to import or export in .pst format making sure you use the contacts folder as the target.
