Overclocking a old PC.

inreased FSB to 115 and am getting core speed of 1.8 ghz.
temperatures are good.

Only one thing. I didnt increased the core voltage. and cpu-z is indicating that it has increased to 1.7V.

I'm gonna oc more .. should i increase the voltage.,?

raise the voltage to 1.8 and try setting the FSB to 125.. but again, watch your temps.. you will need a heatsink and a fan on the southbridge to go much higher .. the northbridge might already have one, but putting a fan on the southbridge (circled in the picture below ) requires some improvisation

50c sounds like an idle temp for that CPU.. Are you stress testing your system between adjustments? An overclock is not stable or safe to use if it can't handle at least a few hours of prime95 without overheating. You could possibly get 2.3 GHz out of that CPU at 100% load for about 3 seconds before the southbridge temperature went ballistic and maybe something catches fire.. but that wouldn't be too useful, would it?

I was using the pc with OC \'d condition for 2 days. Nothing happened just a performance boost. Real Performance. :D

I'm some what puzzled how one would observe a .2 Ghz over clock using a computer with programs or internet.
