Overclocking help

I work at a coffee house as a barista. But I mean that compared to what my dad spends on things he leaves on, my computer is hardly noticeable. It's energy efficient for the most part anyway. :)

Unlike some of my friends here, i dispose of very few things for which I have expended capital assets. Everything has a resale value.

Let your assets work for you. Allow your capital to work for you. Two years? I am still using, on a 24/7 basis, a system I assembled in 2001.

I have a system as well for that. :) And I overclocked the crap out of it. Still works like a charm. I don't think OC'ing something is all that bad for it.

I am going to boot later today. I will check my settings. I have something set that works nicely for me. My machine idles at 1.67 and peaks at 3.2, runs mostly at 2.67. No wild fluctuations.

Not much of an OCer and I did struggle to get it right. But I really like what it does.

Yes you can leave them enabled with a lower overclock but if the overclock is high enough it will cause instablity.

I could leave them both on with my E6750 at 3.8GHz but with my E8600 at 4.4GHz it wouldn't work and it doesn't work with my Q9650 at 4.05GHz, gets too unstable when it steps down.

I kinda like those features also, sometimes the trade off's are worth it, other times not.
