Hello I was wondering if someone could tell me in detail what is overclocking and why do people do it on there computers. Also how to undo it.

Also how does one know if someone has a counterfeit OS on there system when they upload info to the forum.

Overclocking is when you run the components at greater than their baselines speeds. You do it because you can for the most part - its like a hobby.

The other issue is probably best not discussed for several reasons.

Golden is correct. Over clocking is a hobby on the most part. Not really needed but why not if you can.

Keep in mind it can be very frustrating at times when things don't go as you wish.
Their is a lot of trial and testing to get things right. No two systems are the same.

**Never over clock anything that you can't afford to replace. Bad things can happen.**
