Page Number Problem - Word 2007

If I insert page number 2 in a letter in Word 2007 it automatically puts this in a header and gives the first page number 1. (Word/Insert/Page number etc.) If I remove page number 1 from the first page it also removes page number 2 from the second page. So how can I start numbering the pages in a letter at the second page?

This used to be so easy in Word 2003, why do they have to alter everything?

Bill2: Many thanks , that seems to be the answer in the first link. The second link seems to relate to Office 2003. As I recall, it's not as straightforward as Word 2003, but that's the solution.
