Yes, it works!
I was extremely frustrated trying to find every workaround for installing the Alltel Axcess Manager and UM-150 on my new Windows7 based laptop. After reading your posts, I was delighted to find out that Verizon does have the proper software driver for this model on the VZ Access Manager. I installed it and it worked just fine, even faster than on my old laptop using Alltel's software! Interestingly, I phoned Verizon to get the aircard phone number (it's not committed to memory and I didn't have a bill handy). The very sweet woman told me it would emphatically NOT work and I could get a free (yeah, right... with 2 year contract) upgrade to a newer unit, but the good news is it wouldn't change my unlimited plan. I asked her to help me try it anyhow, since the forums say it will work. Wallah... set up and worked just fine. She promised that using the Verizon software would not change my unlimited plan or extend my contract and she put notes in my history to that effect. The only sad thing was that Verizon certainly knows this will work, yet they try to tell us incorrectly that it won't, so they can trick us into a two-year upgrade contract. Good luck everyone.
