Hi ive just installed a 3TB storage drive gpt and created one partition, would it be safer if there were several partitions for data storage. if so can i now create more partitions on the drive.

Make two 1.5tb partitions so windows recognises them and then format them to ntfs

Hi baccini. Creating more than 1 partition on your drive will not make it safer if the drive ever fails.

Yess but Baccini, windows will only recognsie 2tb of it, you must still partition it to 1.5tb each or similar
