YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW INFURIATING THIS IS. HOW COULD THEY NOT BOTHER SAYING "IF U PARTITION THE FREE SPACE OF YOUR DRIVE YOU WILL LOSE ALL OF YOUR DATA" DON"T THEY THINK THAT MIGHT B SOME IMPORTANT PIECE OF INFORMATION TO LET SOMEONE KNOW, MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the forum. What is the state of the disk now is does it have partitions or blank? A screenshot from disk Management showing the drive may help so we can see

If you had only reformatted the drive, you could probably recover the stuff that was on it. But a partition operation is a lot less reversible. And the fact that the drive was encrypted makes it that much more difficult.

Perhaps a data recovery service can help you. I'm not talking about the Geek Squad; I'm talking about someone who specializes in data recovery. I would say that that is your only safe option, because if you do something wrong at this point, you may lose what little chance you have of recovering the data.

For future reference, you should back up the drive regularly (say, once a month), and definitely before doing something like this. An automatic online backup service like Mozy or Carbonite might be worth considering.
