Partition Wizard download

Does anyone know where one can download the mini tool Partition Wizard without the wretched AVG search bar being a non option please?

I saw the new version and started the download which automatically uninstalls the previous version before I realised that this piece of erm something had to go with it?

Yep! the *******s have bloated it with AVG, and there is no choice not to install....that has changed. There goes their reputation.

Try the CD version instead and see if it helps:
Partition Wizard Bootable CD allows user to manage partition directly with partition manager bootable CD.

A good alternative that I have used many times without any trouble: EaseUS Partition Master - pick free one of the list

What happens if you choose Custom Installation or is that not possible?

If you check "custom" you can uncheck all the other garbage.

Hum thanks fellas and yeah Golden they have gone down in my rankings of the best apps - actually was thinking of buying it but not now.

The EaseUS I was suing the to do version and it was good but was rather limited by the cloning feature only being able to clone small to large drive and not the other way round but I'll try the bootable CD and try out that unchecking the custom. I hadn't noticed there was such a thing.

If you just check custom and empty the boxes nothing else is installed.

I've always just shrunk partitions as required before cloning.

It doesn't really matter to me if I've got to use more than one small app to get a job done, as long as each app is reliable in performing its intended job. It may take a few more steps but as long as it works it doesn't really bother me too much.

Nah just tried it again and it wanted to uninstall the older version and that custom stuff is a lot of hot gas there is no way round that AVG rubbish.

Oh and to think I did donate the first time I used it well the old version works well enough for what I want it for.

Odd I just uninstalled the old version downloaded the new version - Free download Magic Partition Manager Software, partition magic alternative, free partition magic, partition magic Windows 7 and server partition software - Partition Wizard Online selected custom and left the boxes unchecked. Nothing else was installed.

Well I take back what I said that downloaded without AVG - the only thing is that the custom "boxes" were not checked like they were this morning at home on the main machine just the ticks were greyed out on that occasion

Looks like Custom install does allow deselecting unwanted crapware in the Home edition.

Be sure to use the boot disk for any resizing as only PW boot CD and Disk Mgmt will not fail while all others can. For this reason I only use the Home Edition to read but boot disk to do any operations at all.

Thanks greg yeah it is a mystery why my main machine still had the ticks in the boxes but greyed out but last evening on the laptop the boxes were blank.

Oh and nice point re the CD

I installed v7.6 a couple of days ago.
I just unchecked the AVG option and selected custom. The other boxes defaulted to unchecked. I was running an admin account which I think is best for all installs.
I'm still a follower of PW.

Yes Greg I'm the only user anyway but am going to try that unchecked again as it definitely had greyed out ticks in those boxes yesterday.
