I've updated a few Win 7 x64 and x86 systems now, and no problems here.
All updates installed together (one update/reboot).

Robin if you highlight any update there will be an info pane on the right with links, click them and you can see what MS says about it. MS doesn't speak in normal English though.

First I have been offered it, but I hid it too, I have no plans to "upgrade" to Win 8 in my lifetime. I told MS as much in their feedback.

I'm looking at updating a Win 7 32 Bit system right now that has Office 2007.
As far as I know this system never had Office 2010 installed.
I see the update for KB2825635 - so what I see is the same as shown in Britton30's post #5 here:

This one has me puzzled...why would an Office 2010 update be offered to a system that has Office 2007 ?

I'm not sure I want to apply this update ...

I'm not sure I want to apply this update ...

I'd asked the same thing a couple of updates back. Someone suggested, Noel I think, that some Office 2010 components are used to update the 2007 version. I usually get 1 or 2 updates for 2010 each month and have installed them without issues.

uh oh, what have I done wrong?! I checked for my updates after doing some reading here (never thought about it earlier 'cuz I generally don't see them 'til Wed) & just about wet my drawers, only had 1, for IE9!!!!!!!!

my bad, that 1 was still left from the 'out of band' of 1st part of May. When I checked for updates on Wed. I had a new one for IE plus 5 others including MSRT.

I just updated and things went OK with this oddity:

I do have Office 2010. I was offered and accepted KB2825635, which is related to Office 2010, along with 10 or 15 other things.

I rebooted and was again offered KB2825635. I figured the first update attempt had failed, so I accepted it again and rebooted.

I was again offered the same update. So I looked at update history and see that both of my previous update attempts had in fact succeeded.

So, I don't know what this is all about, but I'm not yet going to update it for the third time. I'll wait and see if it continues to be re-offered.

had only 7 updates on my main laptop installed all without a problem and my computer got stuck for about a minute or so when it was starting up before it went configuring windows updates, we had 5 on the Vista desktop all installed without a problem, one reboot and there was 18 on the machine that was running 8.1

robinb9. Both of those Windows 7 updates are important. See attached screen shot.

I installed all the Windows updates this morning, 51Mb total. Required one restart & all installed without any problems.

I also checked with Adobe for the Adobe Reader XI update & that was installed. This update is 11.0.7 which updated from 11.0.6.

I've hidden KB2952664 again as I don't intend to "upgrade" Windows 7, and have installed the other 6 updates on my gaming machine. No problems encountered, and all very quick. Assuming no problems emerge then I'll install the same updates plus a myriad of Office updates (about 7 or so, I think) on my work machine in a day or two.

I know that part and how to see what they are for, I do not understand what Microsoft means, their explanation at the website
