When you say "the beep" some people will confuse that with the normal POST beep some PCs make when first starting up.

It sounds like your PC is already up and running Windows when this problem happens. Is that correct?

Is it just one beep, or multiple beeps?
Does the sound come through your speakers, of from inside the computer case?

That condition can be caused by the CPU overheating. Or the motherboard settings for minimum fan speed set too high.
But since you are getting a freeze, I would suspect something is actually overheating, setting off the beep alarm.

Can you check your temperatures, either in the BIOS settings or using an application like Speedfan or HWInfo?

HWInfo is good enough, but you have to select sensors while starting (you can also get sensors running from main program window of HWInfo but at start up is easiest)

Yes, the time difference will slow response time - that is to be expected.

Your temperatures look good in that screenshot. But what you can do with speedfan is monitor temperatures as you use your computer. It will minimize to the Tray, and if you hover over the icon with the mouse you will see the key temperatures pop up.
So you could check the temps as you play your game. Particularly when you hear the beep. You have that 5 seconds to see if you can read the temps. Look for the GPU temp first.

Another, separate, test would be to disconnect your PC speakers and then play the game. This is to see if the beep is indeed coming from the case or through the speakers.

Do you have any case fans?
Speedfan does not show any, but that could just be because the fan headers are not the type with sensors.

The readings do show high heat, not out of the ordinary heat as GokAy said, but high enough.
You might try running the PC with the sides taken off the case. You could even try placing a house fan to blow directly into the open case.
The test is to see if with additional cooling, the problem goes away.

Always a good idea to check Event Viewer. Ignore everything not related to freezing. See if anything obvious stands out.

Not always. Just for the test.

If it is determined that the cause is overheating, then my next suggestion would be to add some case fans or get a better (bigger) gaming case. No sense in buying new parts if they will not solve the problem.

EDIT: did this problem start during these hot months? If yes, that would be an important clue.
