I just heard of this tool, today.

I saw a WildTangent folder that was a gig large. I'm on a HP computer. Obviously, it's bloatware. Now I also read it's potential spyware. Preinstalled. Righteous.

I have CCleaner, but all I know what to do with it is look at Restore Points and kill them off.

PC Decrapifier..yay or nay ?

My Wild Tangent is no where near that size unless I am missing something? Can you provide the path? I also have two listed in my programs, not sure how that happened.

As for uninstalling you can do it through Control Panel. Wild Tangent will be listed under programs and should be able to be uninstalled through add/remove. I actually have two listed in my programs, one seems more recent. Not sure how that happened.

PC Decrapifier, is it really good though ? It seems to knock out all the bloatware..I've seen 2-3 big posters at this forum advise the Decrapifier

Decrapifier is legitimate. It puts together the most likely bloatware PC manufacturers install on their machines. Then makes it easy to uninstall whatever the user doesn't want. You can usually do the same thing manually from the control panel > programs and features. But in the end, it's up to the user to know what programs should or should not be uninstalled.

Interestingly enough, my new HP laptop included WildTangent bloatware at no additional charge. I was really unhappy with it when it triggered my antivirus. I was successful simply uninstalling the offending programs.

I use PCDecrapifier quite a bit. You need to know what you are doing and pay strict attention to the popup windows you got during the uninstall processes. Works great. Revo Uninstaller Free does a better job since it cleans up left over files/folders and registry entries but it takes a lot longer. If you want to try it, scroll down the page at the above link and make sure you get the Free version.

I do not use PCDecrapifier or Revo Uninstaller for the trial versions of Norton or McAfee. I always use their latest Removal Tools.

I have to tell, I hope people will be advised from this.

After perhaps a half year after first using this PC, it would not go online, would not use internet. It would just have a yellow caution sign on the icon for no reason.

So, I was stuck Safe Moding for a month, nothing. I needed to go online.

I even took my PC to my friend's twice. Out of the blue, he checks Remove Programs, and says "hey there's Norton let's kill it". That was my problem.

I had a preinstalled Norton thing, all it did was ask me if I wanted to try a month trial version, so I didn't think much of it.

Everyone told me virus. Nope, it's anti-virus. Wise up folks, don't be a dummy such as myself.
