Hello! I've made a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and my computer starts up alright but it takes like 2 minutes to load all the programs and before formatting this did not happen (I had exactly the same programs installed) It's very annoying and I'd like to know how to fix this, here are my specs

Core 2 Quad Q9550
4GB DDR2 OCZ (Yeah I know it's a bit old :()
ATI 6850
Samsung 1TB

If you need more info just let me know! :)

I would reinstall adapting these steps to get a perfect reinstall: Reinstalling Windows 7

If you want to try to save your latest install, enter msconfig>Startup to uncheck everything except AV, which should be a lightweight free one like Microsoft Security Essentials.

After several reboots enter msconfig>Services and do the same thing after "Hiding All MS Services." Check back periodically to make sure nothing writes itself back in either place or turn it off at Startup in its Program Preferences.

You now have a clean boot.

Next work through these troubleshooting steps to look for repeat errors in the logs and use System Resources to look for clues.

I got 134 events, apparently every time I start windows this error 0xc0000000d appears, I have looked it up and found nothing, I have disabled all my Startup items and Services and this still happens, Could this be the thing causing the problem? I'd like to fix it without reinstalling since I've reinstalled Windows like 2 times this month (Following the instructions to a perfect reinstall) and I don't like loosing my 60gb of work :(, Could my Win7 copy be damaged? Isn't there a way to repair my actual install with win7 DVD?

Run SFC -SCANNOW Command

Googling the text and identifiers of the error message there are a lot of possibilities but it's likely the actual problem is in one of the other errors while the one posted is a reaction.

If you want to continue troubleshooting the logs I would google the error text and identifiers to read how others have solved it. This is what I do.

In addition here are other troubleshooting steps using the System Resources and testing hardware I'd consider.

When I Google it I find things about PCs not booting and that's not what's happening to me. In case my Windows 7 DVD files are damaged, what should I do?

I don't now where you're getting that your Win7 DVD files are damaged, but if you really think so then download another ISO and burn to DVD using ImgBurn at 4x speed.

Where did you get Win7? How is it being activated?

I also said that it's likely one of the other errors that will tip you to root cause and the one you posted is a reaction to it.

But if you've have somehow discovered it's the installer then replace it then follow these steps to get a perfect reinstall based on thousands we've helped with here: Reinstalling Windows 7

Where can I download another ISO from? Is it legal? I bought Win7 Ultimate at a store near my house xD I activated it with the key that came with the DVD. I've always installed windows like that so I don't know what happened this time :(

I don't think your DVD files are damaged as you have an install.

What resulted from System File Checker? That would repair any damaged System files.

There are multiple other steps suggested to try so work through them all or clean reinstall following the steps given for that.

You could run Soluto. It would tell you which processes run the longest during boot and which ones you can stop. Very often, the AV program is the culprit.

System File Checker did not fix anything :( There was nothing to fix according to it :(

I have installed Soluto but since I have a lot of problems in my actual Windows 7 install I'll do a proper clean install (just as I always did) I'd like to download a Win7 'untouched' copy from a reliable site and activate it with my legit key, can I do it? (I mean I don't wanna have trouble with updates or and that kind of things)

There are many places from where you can download Win7 installation .isos - but they all cost money. What were you using in the past to install.

Wow thanks a lot, is there a way I can download it at a higher speed? Since it's just 60kb/s it's really gonna take a while

Get a faster connection?

My connection is fast enough, the problem is the site has a poor download speed :(
It'll take like 10 hours this way

It appears that windows is trying to go online (probably to validate your installed copy) as soon as it's able.
When the wireless/dial-up gate isn't setup properly, windows will try and retry until it gives up (hence the long wait/pause). Uninstall the internet connection and see if it still stalls.

I think your clean install is OK (as you said it was done twice before ...). Just don't allow it to go online.
Check your Device Drivers and make sure that you have the necessary drivers and check if your internet gateway is setup properly. Only then will you allow it to go online.

To find an ISO source with better transfer rate, google 'digital river iso'. And maybe there are sources with better bandwidth.

When Installed I did not select the option to automatically register Windows as soon as I was connected to the internet, I activated it with my key and it says "Windows is activated" So I don't know if that caused the problem, anyways I just downloaded that copy (when I tried next morning I had better transfer speed :P) Thanks a lot for all your help :D
