I am facing this weird problem with my pc since few days

when ever i try to boot up my pc, the memok led lights up and gives continuous beeps (1 long 2 short)
even pressing the memok button dosent help

now to solve this i have to reseat the bios by moving the jumpers, and then push the memok and then it boots
but to further add to my agony once i leave the pc shutdown for 4-5 hours again the same problem reoccurs

i have been using this pair of corsair ddr3 rams @1333mhz for a year now and it worked perfectly until now
memtest+ finds no error

i have latest bios installed and even reflashed it
tried a different psu
tried booting up with single stick of ram
tried different ram slots
tried different cmos battery

plz help

If you went into bios and set the ram to auto that should clear up the issue but as you have stated the settings aren't sticking am I right?

This is a faulty RAM installation slot. Refer to your motherboard manual where it wants you to place the RAM. You should place your RAM away from the CPU as possible. What motherboard do you have? In fact, give the overall hardware model you have.

EDIT: Since you said you have try CMOS jump, you already reset your BIO but you experience that you can't save your setting. I'm afraid you have a weak power supply. Have you try putting a new power supply to test if you can get one?

Sorry I didn't read your spec. It is a video card error. Something is not compatible between your video card and display hardware. If you have extra video card, try to test it. It should clear up the beep.

no dear the beep code is for ram only

i guess its a grounding issue as the rig worked perfectly ok when i test it on a cardboard

can someone point me how to troubleshoot grounding problems

i have a cm430 elite case and mobo is mounted on the brass standoffs
also is it possible that psu is shorting?
