Have you turned V-sync on in the game options? Normally solves all screen tearing issues.

However due to the age of your pc it could also be hardware related, faulty ram can cause tearing as well as game rendering issues, when crysis first came out i pushed my ram to hard while over clocking it to try and max the game out, a stick gave up the ghost and i got tearing as well as weird textures and pink floaty bits lol

If you have flickering video you need to update your flash player

possibly your NetFrameWork4.0 too

Well since i noticed it is a laptop when was the last time you cleaned it

By looking at it being a Laptop and your specs it's possibly overheating you should look at your temps

kind of pushing a dual core and 9400gt and 2gb of ram is real hard on a system especially if you are trying to play something a little newer check your temps also if that doesn't help you might need to OC the card to make it stop it's probably struggling

It's not a Laptop, it's a Computer. When I play a game on a lower resolution it starts tearing after more time, thean on a higher resolution. MORE SUGGESTIONS???
