PC restarts instead of sleeping

I have tried the various options and tips from Google searches and on here but all to no avail. When selecting sleep mode, the PC seems like it's preparing to sleep then just at the point it should be sleeping it restarts itself! It was working fine then one day it just started behaving like this. To my knowledge no new software was installed on the PC and the settings have not been changed.

The OS is Windows Pro 7 32bit.
Are you able to help or advise me on this problem?
