PDF merging / editing?

Hi
I have one PDF file (Adobe) with 7 PDF files in it and would like to find a way of editing just 1 of them? Can I delete it somehow and replace with updated version? Or do I have to do a complete re merge of the 7?

I originally used Adobe (free) to create and merge these, but now you have to pay for this, with the exception of 5 free tries to create, but not merge, so as I only want it once is there some other software out there I can use?

Can I still keep the orginals in Adobe PDF, create a new one and then merge them into one or do I have to re new them all into Nitro and then merge then?

I'd simply copy the original PDF, edit the copy and then save it. Should work that way.

I dont seem to have edit on here?

I the have edit button and I tried to it, but no luck?

Any ideas please?

Also with Nitro, does the recepient need Nitro to open these, as you would with Adobe? Or can they use whatever?
