Solved Photos on desktop gone off screen

Hi. I just did something silly - I pasted photos from phone onto desktop, ready to file to folders - but accidentally pasted the whole lot - and there are more than are showing on the desktop. I deleted most to make some space but the others didn't move back across onto the desktop. I managed to drag back the row that were just off-screen and just showing - but where are all the others?!!!!! I have copies elsewhere, I just don't like the idea of hidden things off the edge of the desktop! cheers.

My Computer>C Drive>User>%user name%>Desktop
This folder will contain everything that has been placed on the desktop
