Photoshop will not open now

Boy this could be several things. I would start with the simple one first. Shut down your computer and start it again. Don't restart it, completely shut it down.

Try renaming you preferences:
users/<your username>/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS5 Settings/Adobe Photoshop X64 CS5 prefs.psp
to something else and then try restarting Photoshop. Better yet, move the file to another folder so that you can easily mover it back if it isn't the settings that are the problem. You will loose your custom settings when you move/rename it.
