A few weeks ago, I replaced the motherboard on my notebook due to a faulty graphics card. Since replacing it, the computer has not recognized my DVD-R drive. I had tried installing the GEAR drivers, which has not changed anything. The computer does not show any disk drive is present. My system information is below:

Computer: HP dv9000 Series Notebook
Disk Drive: Pioneer DR-KD08HB

How do I get the computer to recognize the drive?

Windows is claiming that there is no disk drive installed, and on checking for hardware changes, none are detected. (this was reported when running one of the Mats_run.dvd.exe fixes)

It seems that it is not listed in device manager, but there are a number of devices which are listed which are down as unknown, and apparently there are no drivers present for any of them?
