Please help !!

Ok so yesterday i finally got my new graphics card and some why
When i plug it in and into the power supply and turn the PC on..... it turns on and
after about 4 seconds beeps and nothing comes up on the screen.
It seems that the graphics card it self is working fine the fans are rotating but
it doesn't show any thing i think it has some thing to do with the motherboard.
So any ideas on what to do ?

BTW here are me specs :

Motherboard - P55A-UD3
Ram - 4GB Kingston
Graphics card - GeForce 470 GTX (GAINWARD 1GB)
500 GB Hard drive
550W power supply

1. It could need to be re-seated and the power supply plugs checked that they are in properly.
2. Inadequate power supply to the card
3. The card arrived D.O.A. Believe me when I say this happens just read some reviews of any card.

First try re-seating the card and the power plugs.Also check the DVI/VGA cable to and from the card.
Then if possible try it in another system. If you have a friends or one you can use.

Also You are trying to use a GTX 470 with only a 500W power supply. The Evga requires a minimum of 550W but it's the amps on the +12v rail that count this card says it needs 38Amps.

So if the card is plugged in properly and seated fully, then I would suspect your power supply doesn't qualify to run that card. Evga's details http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...550&cm_re=gtx_470_evga-_-14-130-550-_-Product

Ok so i have fixed the problem and it didnt have any thing to do with the motherbaord or bad connection, i forgot to plug both power cables into the card
i had 1 cable that came with the card and it didnt work so i found 2 of these coming out of the power supply and i pluged them in and now every thing works
