"plugged in not charging.." - driver deletion issue!!

hey guys i know the general solution to the problem "uninstall Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery" and all but like an idiot.. i uninstalled mine in safe mode = its not showing up again like it would once you scan for hardware changes..

I need a way to get my Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery back because now I have TWO problems.. 1, still won't charge.. and 2, I cannot see the battery icon or enable it and don't have my Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery.

Please Help!! =[[[

I have userd the method on a few laptops, It is only partially succesful. But, Nomally on a reboot, it reinstalls itself unless you do actually have a hardware problem in your machine.

normally it would but like i said i accidentally uninstalled in safe mode.. so now i need a driver for it and its SO hard to find

Welcome to SevenForums.

Shutdown.
Remove power.
Remove battery.
Reinstall battery.
Reconnect battery, making sure that all connections are good.
Restore power.
Turn computer on.

Problem gone?

UPDATE YOUR SEVENFORUMS SYSTEM SPECS


User CP (3rd item in the top menu bar) |
in left-hand column, under Your Profile, Edit System Spec |


Use Speccy - System Information - Free Download
and/or SIW to gather info for filling in the blanks.

Do me a favor and add the word laptop or desktop to the “system manufacturer” block.

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader, Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor

Scroll down and click on the SAVE CHANGES button.

Now if you could add the manufacturer and model info directly before or after the word laptop, that would be a big help.

Check the manual that came with your laptop. There will be directions there as to how to remove and reinsert your battery.

i think its beginning to charge bc when i unplugged it didnt shut.. however i still need a driver to see battery life

yes... as I said earlier I deleted the t ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery option under batteries in device manager while in safe mode and cannot retrieve it.. i also do not see the ACPI compliant driver

Question 1: Is the battery now charging? and if no, what messages are shown.

Question 2: Do you now see the battery icon?

i believe its charging yes, however i cannot see the icon because the ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery and other one mentioned above are not visible in the device manager. it didnt die as soon as i pulled out the charger so im assuming its gaining power

With SIW (link in my sig) you can see info about your battery.

What do you see if you--

WIN + X key combo | battery status section


Now restore your computer back to a poinnt in time before this problem occurred.

WIN | type SYSTEM RESTORE | NEXT button | pick a restore point before the problem occurred.

Notice that there is a Scan for affected programs which will give you a heads-up as to programs which you may need to reinstall.
