I am getting popups in the upper left corner of IE9 as i browse, despite setting the popup blocker to the highest setting. Even more annoying, they don't display properly and sometimes leave little bits of image on the page. they are always small square ads in the same spot. Any suggestions for stopping them? I am about ready to give up on IE9 and switch to Chrome or something.

It is due to a bug in the latest Flash Player update: Adobe Forums: Flash Player 10.3 and Internet Explorer...
I am having the same issue but for now I am just waiting for a hotfix from adobe

Thanks

That makes sense. I'll be with a rep from MS and one from Adobe today, so a little verbal abuse in order. ;-)

I installed the updated flash player last night and it seems to have fixed the problem.

thanks. I also found a temporary fix by selecting the following option under internet options | advanced "use software rendering instead of GPU rendering"
