I still get the Reason: Connection timed out Have you checked my other thread, maybe i missed something out?

If its not av not firewall, and not win 7 the only thing I can think of is the router setup. can can connect to the internet, and other computers so its n ot connectivity, have you tried re-doing the fowarding in the router.

Ken

Lewis, do you have full connection?

I am not sure about DHCP, i am not up to speed on that, i did notice one thing, the port number is only 4 digits, try 5 digits over 70000.

It might make a different s, do you have good signal strength from wireless network?

Added inbound and out bound to port 55555.

Error: I could not see your service on xx.xx.xxx.xxx on port (55555)
Reason: Connection refused

Ill have to take a good look at this later. Thanks for trying

Does pppoe or pppoa make a difference?

ppoe is used if your isp requires a password, like dsl (sbc, att). I did not read the whole thread, so forgive me if any redundant questions are asked. If all you are trying to do is RDP, then once you have port 3389 forwarded in your router to your computer's internal IP address (double check to make sure your internal IP for your computer has not changed), right click on "Computer" select properties, then click on Advanced system settings> then click the remote tab, and select the option you want (I use the second one) from the remote section. As far as dyndns, I use www.dyndns.com to get a free dyndns name (zay.selfip.com). Hope this helps

My problem isnt allowing team viewer through my firewall, ive tried to open a port, which i have done correctly thought my router as i have done it before in vista. I have also setup a static ip and added an inbound rule in the firewall. Yet it still isnt open, so im requesting help via team viewer.

What program are you trying to get through that particular port?

I am opening a port so other people can connect to a game i will be running. Could anyone look over my portfowarding setup over teamviewer? I cannot see where i am going wrong.

I looked at his router setup, and it is setup properly. This definitely a w7 issue, and it is the custom ports that causes the issue. I have custom ports open on my router as well, and they work, but when I do port checks, it says closed. I even tested the port on my w7 machine that he wants opened, and the port check says closed.
