Hi there

I use vmware products (we have them at work too so it's easier to stick with one product -- nothing against VBOX it's good too).

I use mine quite often for testing some new releases of SAP Netweaver stuff (No Windows 7 X-64 support yet).

I also use them for unsupported hardware like Minidiscs or old graph plotting / engineering blue print hardware.

Cheers
jimbo

I used to have about 5 distributions of Linux running in virtual box but when I ran out of space in my hard disk they were the first to go unfortunately. :( Now I only have XP mode running when I need it to and thats hardly worth a screen shot.

What happend then ? Please tell .... I am just eager to know.

I tried it with various settings ..... but at last failed to run, all the times :o

Wish your success, man!

I also have a question to all the others... how many os a man actually need ? Why vista is necessary to me, if I have 7? Why to use Mint... If I have Ubuntu ?

But I find XP useful sometimes, so I have XP in my vmware, and I have Ubuntu... just when I get bored with 7 ( only for a few minutes in a week  )

I have OSX running on an AMD in VMWare as well.

However I just deleted it all due to the legality.

Tiger ! Original, or patched? It's the first time in my life I am seeing a virtual machine running a mac os. Please make me know the vm setting you used :)

Ok, can you please tell me what the stuffs and settings you used to install leopard in vm? I heared that it is not possible, unless it is a patched version designed for virtual machines. I want to do it for at least once .... after that .... I'll also delete it ... before the cops arrest me ;)

I'm running 10.4.8 and 10.5.2 I'm trying to install 10.5.7 now but am having some trouble...
All these are patched... I might try to install either 10.5.2 or ( if I can get it running in VMware) 10.5.7 on a seperate hd as a triple boot with win7 and vista..

Well, since I am already running OS 10.6.3 beta I decided to use VM Fusion (VM Ware for the Mac) to run the following in a VM: 1) Windows 7 Enterprise 64, 2) Windows Vista HP 64, Ubuntu 10.1 64, 3) Windows 2000 Pro, 4) Windows XP SP3, and in a couple of hours will be installing both Windows 98 SE, and Windows 3.11 (Just got those in the mail from my brother (old stuff he had just lying around)).

Also running Windows 7 HP in Boot Camp (Dual Boot).

The answer to the question "Why" is and always will be "Why Not." :D
