Hey, I'm thinking of building a custom gaming PC and want to know if the parts are compatible?

Here's my parts :

Case - Fractal Design R5 Black
CPU - AMD FX 9370 Vishera
CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i
MOBO - ASRock 990FX Killer
GPU - 8GB MSI Radeon R9 295 X2 (changing the fan to 120mm Corsair AF quiet Series)
RAM - 8GB Corsair Vengeance Red Low Profile
PSU - 1000W Corsair RM Series , Full Modular 80 PLUS Gold (with custom sleeving)
SSD - 2x 120GB Kingston SSD Now V300
HDD - 1TB WD Blue

Also exchanging all case fans and cooling fans with 2x 140mm Corsair AF Series and 3x 140mm Corsair SP Series

So what do you think? Any advice on how to improve ?

Thanks, TheGamer0797

What's your budget? My personal preferences will shine through here but here goes anyway:

  • I'd go for an i7-4790k over the Vishera
  • I'd opt for an ASUS Mobo
  • How many monitors are you running?
  • An Intel or Samsung SSD
  • A WD Blue over the WD Black

Only a couple of things I'd do, instead of 2 SSDs I'd go with 1 larger, such as 250/256GB. If money permitted might even go larger but they get costlier rather rapidly. And I'd go with 16GB RAM, Windows always loves more RAM. Depending upon what else will be plugged in I'd check for a 20Amp circuit instead of 15Amp but it's even harder to change the wiring in a house. I added a 20Amp circuit to my computer room because of all the equipment I have running, have 2 UPS devices [separate circuits] for 4 computers with 1 monitor [KVM].

My motherboard recommendations :)

Motherboards | SABERTOOTH Z87 | ASUS USA

The Cooler, I just got one of these, it`s beautiful :) but the case you choose has to accommodate a dual 140mm Radiator.

I'd prefer an EVGA 980 Classified over the AMD GPU but that's by the by. Something like this would be a great gaming rig.

thanks for all the feedback guys! It's helped loads toward the PC. I've taken your advice into consideration and have decided to switch to the Corsair h100i GT, 4770k and the ASUS Sabertooth z97 mk1, and finally i switched from two ssd's to the Samsung 850 EVO 250GB.

Also went with EVGA 1000W PSU :)

Thanks again for all your help,

TheGamer0797
