Hello too,

Do you have any OEM or 3rd party power management type program installed that may be overriding and resetting your Windows power plan?

Does this still happen if you set a default power plan how you wanted instead of a custom plan?

Yes it happens with the default power plan as well.
I use the Asus Ai Suite that came with the motherboard, I'll try to disable it to see if it changes anything.
Thank you.

It was the AI Suite from Asus that was controlling the profile.
When the Ai Suite profile was changed so was the Windows profile, but when the profile was changed by the Windows profile tool, the change would not occur in the Ai Suite profile, neither would be after closing the Windows profile window.
Thank you for the reply.

Recommended Settings for Hybrid Sleep Not Making Sense

Maybe I am missing something, but the settings recommended for hybrid sleep are not making any sense to me.

Under "Part 5" > Recommended Settings for HYBRID SLEEP > line "Sleep | Hibernate after," the recommended setting states:

"1 minute before [sleep]" and "1 minute after Sleep after." [EMPHASIS ADDED].

That sentence assumes that "[set to] sleep" and "sleep after" are different, and cannot have identical set times. (Otherwise, setting hibernate to both before N time and after N time has no logic).

However, when I set and save a time for "Sleep after" in Advanced Settings, upon return to Power Options, my "Sleep time" mirrors the time I had just set for "Sleep after." This suggests to me that "sleep after" and "sleep time" are the same (or that my computer makes no distinction between the two). Moreover, in my Advanced Settings, I cannot find an option separate from "Sleep After" (e.g., a "computer is set to sleep" option suggested in your table).

Am I overlooking something? Help please!

Regards,
Much Appreciated W7 User

Hello lwc, and welcome to Seven Forums. :)

That was definitely a logic failure. Sorry about that. It has been corrected.
