Previous Version problem

I don't use System Restore point but "Previous Version" yes, the problem is that is not saving anything.

For the purpose of testing enable the Restore System Settings option and try creating a Restore Point manually.

I enabled both and created a manual restore point but when i right click-->properties a folder and go to "Previous Versions" tab is shows "there is no previous versions available".

Here is some information from Windows Help:

How are previous versions created?

Previous versions are automatically saved as part of a restore point. If system protection is turned on, Windows automatically creates previous versions of files and folders that have been modified since the last restore point was made. Typically, restore points are made once a day. If your disk is partitioned or if you have more than one hard disk on your computer, you need to turn on system protection for the other partitions or disks. Previous versions are also created by Windows Backup when you back up your files.
Note

• If you modify a file several times in one day, only the version that was current when the restore point or backup was made is saved as a previous version.

How do I view or restore previous versions of a file and folder?

1. Right-click the file or folder, and then click Restore previous versions.
   You'll see a list of available previous versions of the file or folder. The list will include files saved on a backup (if you're using Windows Backup to back up your files) as well as restore points.
   Note
   • To restore a previous version of a file or folder that's included in a library, right-click the file or folder in the location where it's saved, rather than in the library. For example, to restore a previous version of a picture that's included in the Pictures library but is stored in the My Pictures folder, right-click the My Pictures folder, and then click Restore previous versions. If you do not have restore points, there are no previous versions. In addition, I think, that the previous version has to contain some changes to be picked up.

Nothing worked, i ended disabling all.

Maybe a doing a windows repair can fix it, but i'm doing weekly and montly full and system backups, thanks anyway for the suggestions.

Are you giving said option time to actually build a list of "Previous Versions" or just randomly plunking a file that has not changed in months?

I gave plenty of time because i had never disabled it before, but someday i noticed it was not creating it anymore, just the regular system restore points which cannot bring again a deleted photo for example.
