Solved problem loading msigbr32.dll

when i turn on the laptop, after the desktop appears, a box shows "there was a problem loading msigbr32.dll. the specified module could not be found". after pressing the ok button, the box disappears and i can get on with my work. i am using a sony vaio on intel i3, win 7 home premium. need help. thanks.

Are you sure the message states "there was a problem loading msigbr32.dll..." There is no information on that particular "dll" that I can locate.

yep... i am absolutely sure abouth this... i googled it but couldnt find anything. its "msigbr32.dll"

Try "regedit" to search the registry for that dll and see if it is located.

Also, try running "msconfig" and select the "Startup" tab. Is there anything in the list that looks suspect; ie, a program that may have been removed or is unfamiliar.

i have nt tried the repair install yet. of late, there is another issue of a blue screen after the screen showing "starting windows" and showing "physical memory dumping to disk". this has happened twice though after restarting the laptop was ok. on one occasion, i chose repair fom the option when i restarted the machine and they apparently colected some information and sent to microsoft. on the next occasion, i "started windows normally" since i was in a bit of hurry. dont know whether it is linked to the thread in anyway but decided to post it here. ps: i am using norton antivirus suite.

excluded "msidll" from the startup tab after running msconfig in admin mode from the start menu. now, its ok. however, dont know the cause as to why it happened.
