Problem.. Urgent.. help

Hi SinRival, you did good by uninstalling Chrome in my opinion. As was said you were seriously over working the little thing. A netbook is not meant to do much more than email, browsing the net, listen to music. The Atom is not up to all of what you are trying to do. If possible add the extra 1GB of RAM. Video editing is very CPU-intensive and YouTube will tax what little graphics power you have.
I would suspect your crashes are due to over heating with all of the multi-tasking.
Have you tried to update all of your USB devices drivers?

For the spell-checker, ieSpell - Download. When you are replying to a post, in the upper right of the message window, find the "ABC" with a check mark on it. Click it and you will be asked to download ieSpell.
It will work here with posts and when you highlight any text and then right''click on it. There will be a spell check option.

Just ran speccy on my daughters netbook. Her Atom processor was running at 43 C right after power up, so your temps look about right to me. You really need to look at your mini dump files etc.

43C sound hot, but I couldn't find the MAX temp for the Atom, there's a bazillion of them and all I found was TDP's (thermal design power) which were between 1 and 2 watts or so.

Looking up the one "I think" is in my daughters netbook, I see a maximum case temperature of 85.2 c listed. Thats twice what hers is running at. I saw some that went as high as 125 c. 43 c does sound hot, but I really don't know if thats abnormal for a netbook. If it was my desktop I would be opening it up for a look see and a cleaning. I am probably going to follow my own advice and have a go at blowing any dust I can out of her netbook. If there are any other members who wouldn't mind posting their temps for a similar netbook or even laptop to put things in perspective, it would be greatly appreciated. :)

don't have it in front of me at the time, by my ASUS normally runs in the 30s. I also keep the display only as bright as needed and run on PowerSaver plan. The Asus has an Atom.

Two Weeks Later/Back from holiday.

I just got back earlier morning and well now it's about 7pm, and it happened again. Black Screen, reboot. Sort of scary, moments ago I plugged my mouse into the left usb port, I'm thinking it might be a bad port but, I don't know.

Wondering what to do so.

SinRival,

Now that you have a BSOD, start a fresh thread, forgetting the past, describing your present problem and following the procedure given there in the Crashes and Debugging forum
Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions

A suggestion is to fluff out your System Specs. Here's how with programs that are free that will provide info to you.

UPDATE YOUR SEVENFORUMS SYSTEM SPECS

User CP (3rd item in the top menu bar) |
in left-hand column, under Your Profile, Edit System Spec |

Use Speccy - System Information - Free Download
and/or SIW to gather info for filling in the blanks.

Do me a favor. Please add the word laptop or desktop to the “system manufacturer” block.

Provide full windows version info, such as provided by Speccy:
MS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader, Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor

Scroll down and click on the SAVE CHANGES button.
