Problem with DNS resolution

hello,
I am using Windows 7 and Windows 2008 server(dual boot). My problem is that Windows 7 cant resolve DNS on its own but Windows 2008 server does, so that adds to my anxiety that why cant Windows 7 also do it on its own.

Not sure what you mean here, can you explain what you are trying to achieve?

what i meant was that i use dhcp on both windows 7 and windows 2008 server. i get access to internet on windows 2008 server, but while i try access net in windows 2008 server it says cannot resolve DNS server or DNS server not responding...???????:sarc:
