Problem with Homegroup

Nah it didn't work.
I tried upgrading the firmware on the wgr614 but it wouldn't allow me as was given to me free by Virgin.

You shouldn't need to update the firmware. If that router isn't working then the blame would be on your eithernet drivers or network adaptor. I can assure that Windows 7 is not the problem.

In any case you have a router that you know should work with Windows 7, although at 54mbps there are better ones for the job. The one you were using didn't have much of a chance.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that I fixed it!
For some strange reason the problem was me having AVG free installed on both computers, i read this on a forum and then uninstalled it from PC's, and it worked!. Strange because AVG free doesn't have a firewall so I don't see why it should interfere?
Anyway just letting you know in case any one else has any similar problems.
