Hey that is sad I can relate to that even with a gorgeous creature I used to go out with - you never forget the voice and places you went eh? and I reckon he conjures in his mind what she would be saying to him on any one given thing.

I think that is rather pleasant thing to have happen especially if one were close to that person After all we are here for a short time - should be a good one!

I have been checking back daily to see if you ever got around to the steps I suggested. Seems you've now cleared the CMOS (there are other ways given besides the risky jumper method) so how about the others?

Try burning or writing the latest official Win7 installer for your licensed version to DVD or stick then following these steps to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which are the same for retail.

Confirm you have unplugged all other HD's and peripherals.

Reset the BIOS to defaults: Clear CMOS - 3 Ways to Clear the CMOS - Reset BIOS

Next test the RAM for 5-6 passes: RAM - Test with Memtest86+. Try removing a stick to see what happens, then swap it.

If these fail then test the SSD to confirm it's good, if necessary contacting the maker.

Use the drivers in the installer and quickly updated via optional Windows Updates - only importing those which are missing in Device Manager after all updates are done. If these performance problems continue after doing it this way, then import the chipset from computer or Mobo maker's Support Downloads webpage.

THjanks greg I'll try that in the morning as it now past 2am and not thinking straight.

Sorry mate but there was so many suggestions flying around I hadn't forgot just didn't know which way to turn.

Nothing much James I am just going to stick in a new Samsung SSD and a new Seagate 500GB HDD reinstall the 7 fresh on the SSD and then hook the Seagate up to put the data stuff on and just not use the original drives until I have erased them.

Just see what happens - a pain but I think the other set up was corrupting each drive to the other when I first set up the Crucial ( - which I am going to try in my laptop) , and each time I had them running together.

If the problem goes away then I'll know for sure it isn't something wrong say with my mobo for example.
