Programs not starting at all.

Would there really be a reason the average consumer would need those? Catalyst is often problematic resolved by uninstalling it. I've always heard it is only needed for overclocking or special settings used by gamers. We may be talking about two separate audiences?

Catalyst for desktops has way more features when compared to the laptop counterpart , either way i found catalyst pretty useful , but often buggy

An example would be setting Anisotropic filtering to 16x via catalyst as i found it to give me no fps decrease in games , while doing the same thing in-game would lower the fps by 2-3 frames. Same for vsync , when games are properly optimized but their vsync is not , forcing it through catalyst seems to be less jittery.

Someone else may know how to do that in Win7 but since I'm not a gamer it's Greek to me. You may actually need the bloatware.

It may not be bloatware to some...people with a super complex computer brain will have their individual programs to do individual things, OC'ing my CPU, Force settings etc that dont work in certain games eg the vsync problem in ac4, Switching on/off switchable graphics, it makes pretty good sense to me to have it, my personal experience with ccc has been outstanding, Each to their own i suppose but for the average gamer like myself, its very handy.
