Programs Opening Slowly & Freezing During Internet Browsing

So my computer is basically brand new. Built it like 6 months ago. Check my profile for the specs. But within the passed 3 weeks, my computer has been running slower than normal in some cases. It's not all the time. Just when I click on icons to run or install programs. Where it normally would take 1 second at the most, it now takes up to like 30 seconds.

Also, when browsing (both Firefox 4.0b6 and IE9), whenever I try to run any type of embedded audio or youtube video the browser will normally freeze for about 20-30 seconds before playing. Sometimes it will lock up and not respond for a bit. A couple times I have tried to CTRL+ALT+DEL but I get an error stating that logon could not bring up the system manager and if nothing shows up, press ESC or restart the computer.

I have ran Spybot, MSE, and Malwarebytes and none of them can find any Malware/Spyware/Viruses. I heard there was a problem with Firefox's plugin container (also had a Windows alert about it crashing) so I turned it off but the problem still isn't fixed.

Have you tried running SFC /scannow from command prompt?

legend86, try to check the processes and see what process is taking up your CPU. A good program to get is Moo0 System Monitor, to see what's going on. Enable the Bottle Neck, CPU usage, Ram Usage, and HDD seek, and HDD busy.

I use to have Vista, and I had to disable Indexing and disable the Audio Enhancements to fix this. You will lose the windows search bar, but will increase performance. Disable Audio Enhancements by right clicking on the Speaker Icon in the bottom right Tray, and looking through the settings in Enhancements.
