Project for my Computer Technician Class, BSOD experimentation

So I'm taking a computer tech class (senior in high school) and soon to test for A+. We have to delete a critical file and cause a BSOD and then use our Windows 7 repair disc to fix without reinstalling OS. I decided to delete winload.exe and I was told you for XP you had to extract the file before you could copy it into your drive. Is it true for windows 7 as well? I would also like to know some other ways (with fixes of course) to induce BSOD on a windows 7 computer apart from what I'm trying. Thanks in advance for the help, guys.

Install both Norton and Avast....that is sure to induce a BSOD. If it doesn't, install Kaspersky too.
