put 1 copy of windows 7 on 2 computers?

Can you put 1 copy of windows 7 on 2 computers??? I currently have vista and my hard driving is giving a warning that it may fail. I can't find my vista disk, but my hubby does have windows 7 and was wondering if we can just put his on my computer???? Or does it only let you do on one computer???? Help please!!!

You can put it on as many as you want....HOWEVER ... you can only activate one at a time... one key per computer...

You can put it on the computer to test that it runs but you can only have 1 copy of Windows 7 (or any OS for that matter) running and registered on a PC unless you have a multiple PC license. If it works you need to buy a license to keep it on the 2nd PC, it's the way it is.

I would suggest that you download this
Free Backup Software: Paragon Backup & Recovery Free Edition - Overview

Put the image on a separate hard drive (not the one where the OS is now)
Then you will not lose any of your important doucments etc. You will have an OS backup in the event that your drive does go.

If it does fail and you must use it for whatever reason. Put it in a baggie in the freezer over night. Usually you can get another 10 minutes or so service.

In the meantime use it as little as possible.

I have never heard this before and find it quite interesting. Things like this make me wonder how it was discovered. I can just picture two guys sitting around with about 16 empty beer bottles on the floor saying "Hey man, let's put it in the freezer".

Yep, hard drives go in the freezer, GPU's and some mobo's get baked in the oven, it's science.........
