Good afternoon Sevenforums!

I have been having some troubles with my laptop, I am trying to install a new hard drive into my laptop but I keep getting the check cable PXE error. I have tried popping the Windows 7 32bit Home premium disc in and it says there is no hard drive installed. I check the Bios and it's there.

Just not sure where to go from here I have tried changing from ACHI to Compatibility which is offered in the bios but to no avail.

The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite C650-034 and it is a Western Digital blue 500GB hard drive.

Help would be much appreciated!

Decided to just try installing Windows Vista, then upgraded to Windows 7 fixed the problem.

Just for those who might be looking for a round about.
