Quick Launch Icon Size

Several threads talk of icon size but always the answer refers to the Taskbar no matter that the questioner often asks about Quick Launch icons.

Win7-HPx64 offers easy changes from small to large icons in the Taskbar but QL icons seem to have one size only - small.

In trying to set up / maintain W7 for an older person I want to offer her a QL with large icons, just like the Taskbar.

Do I ditch the QL and just pin apps to the Taskbar?

Any help appreciated.

The Quick Launch icon size is tied to the size of the desktop icons. To change the size, right-click on desktop and choose "Properties" then the "Appearance" tab, then the "Advanced" button. In the Item drop-down choose the "Icon" option. Change its size to whatever you want. Click "OK" and then click "Apply" to try it out.

My default size was 48 and was driving me crazy. I've found a setting of 32 is about right on my monitor. Your mileage may vary.
