Quick Question... Will process continue when switching user?

I'm converting a bunch of DVD files to MKV and expect it to take quite a bit of time. My 8yr old daughter has her own user account, and uses the computer a lot for school and games, and obviously I don't want her to accidentally disturb the running task.. If I switch from my user account to hers, will the task on my account keep running, or will it suspend until I log back on again?

Thanks..

OS
Windows 7
Code:
If you click the Switch User button, all active programs and network connections will continue to run (the session remains active), and you will return to the Welcome screen, where other users can log on. The user's session will remain active until the computer is restarted or the user is logged off of the session.
I will test it real quick starting a clean of some sort.
Update: IT will continue running, your daughter might slow the process, and she might have some laggy issues or something depending on how fast your pc is nd how heavy the process running is. But it will work.

Always title your thread with your issue so someone who recognizes it will click on it. Thread titles that general often get ignored since most of us are specialists.

Yeah I thought about that, but was in a hurry as she was five minutes from home after a sleepover with a bunch of her friends in tow for a round of 'Animal Jam'..

Yes, it will continue to run, as long as you go out with "switch to another user" instead of "close session", of course. All your programs will continue to run normally and doing their processing, and your desktop will be there as it was when you left.
The only thing to watch out would be that, if she reboots or turns off, logically the processing will be abruptly interrupted, as well as if the computer BSODs.
