Quick Questions about CHKDSK /F

So I pulled out my USB a bit too early today and a bunch of my files got corrupted. CHKDSK detected errors in the file system, so I decided to run CHKDSK /F to fix them (I didn't do a sector recovery scan, as it didn't find any data located in bad sectors). After I did so I was looking through my files and thought some were missing. What I'm wondering is if CHKDSK /F can cause futher corruption and data loss if a drive might already be damaged. CHKDSK didn't ask to create any file chains and the USB is only a year old, so I'm guessing that didn't happen in my case but I just want someone to confirm this and also give an answer to my question for future reference.

Thanks in advance.

No, it won't. That is the equivalent of clicking 'Automatically fix file system errors' in the Check Disk program.

I don't think it will do anything for your USB key.

Well afterwards CHKDSK detected no file system errors so I'm thinking it worked, but I'm wondering if there's a way to check if data has been lost besides through memory. I tried a Recuva deep scan and it found some old files I deleted a while ago but is there something more advanced?
