I built my computer back in June with BSOD errors that were fixed. I have been using this fine since then until last week when this error started to show up. I have reinstalled windows multiple times, even formatting my drives, and reinstalled the driver disks that came with my mobo and gpu but no luck.

Not sure if related but I also have issues with windows update failing to install most updates and it is usually stuck at 0% complete. I have been able to install some updates such as the Service pack 1 but most others fail to install.

Also to note, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Nvidia drivers multiple times to see if it was an issue with the gpu drivers.

Hopefully someone can help me with this issue.

this is definitely the display driver, you said you re-installed the driver and everything, but that does not rule out the possibility of an issue with the actual GPU

try this tutorial and see if that helps.

Thanks for helping narrow it down. I should have mentioned that before the BSODs began I was having artifacting and freezes. The artifacting wasn't a bunch of lines but it was like someone turned on 3D. Also the freezes would tear the audio and loop whatever was last heard. Not sure how to better describe it. Also I had noticed performance issues, slight but noticable, when I first build my computer. I thought nothing of it because I thought that it had to do with the 970 3.5 Vram issue. Either it went away or I simply got used to it and didn't notice it anymore.

I will give this test a try later today and post the results. I have tried the MSi Kombuster stress tests before when I was having the issues mentioned above and had no problems with the gpu.
