Hi All

Have been following a number of threads to identify my issue. I can only assume that a driver is at fault as when i run verifier i have to start in safe mode. Attached is my mini dump, can anyone help me identify where the issue is?

Thanks a lot

Lordmwa

EDIT - Added the full lot of info from the diagnostic tool

Hi lordmwa.

It appears that you have driver verifier enabled. And the verifier detected the Logitech Camera driver, twice, in two crash dumps.
Code:

And the driver is old enough.

First, disable Driver Verifier. Then update the logitech drivers from Logitech Support - Downloads, Manuals, FAQs & More.

It is a Desktop PC, and magicISO is not a must for it. I would suggest you to uninstall it, at least upto when you find your computer is stable. mcdbus.sys causes system instabilities.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
Let us know the results.

Thanks, I was running diver verifier at the time but had turned it off to allow me to start again.

Unfortunately that Logitech driver is the most up to date avaliable for the QuickCam E2500 so not sure what to do there.

I have removed all the stuff from startup and have not yet had another crash but I shall report back if I do get one.

What should I do about the webcam?

If the cam continues to cause BSODs, better you dont use it, as there is no recent updates available over last 4 years.
