Random Freezes new laptop?

REBOOT!

You have just told Win 7 to not run unchecked programs at start up time.

You have not disabled the programs. They will be run when needed.

Use DISABLE button to disable ALL except for:

CCleanerSkipUAC    Piriform Ltd    "C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCleaner.exe" $(Arg0)

Close CCleaner.


REBOOT!

You have not disabled any programs. You have disabled the scheduled running.
Later, after your system is running smoothly, you may reenable desired programs.

ok I've done all the above in msconfig and ccleaner.

I've attached the file from powershell too

**also i was just checking my drivers and when i reinstalled the lan driver from the acer website, it says 'driver was not successfully installed' However if i plug an ethernet in it still works fine.

I don't seem to have had any more freezes since doing all of the above, although they were very random with no rhyme or pattern, so i won't rule it out completely. Any ideas on what it could've been though?

Should i start to re enable all of scheduled tasks and startups which i had 1 by 1? Or just leave them all off since i dont need them?

Since now system is working, I recommend leaving the system be as is.

Be sure to create a system restore point and also to make a system image backup.

We have a tutorial on makiing a system restore point and here is a quick explanation:


CREATE A SYSTEM RESTORE POINT
Win | type Create Restore Point | ENTER |
CREATE | type a name for the restore point |
CREATE button | CLOSE | OK

WIN is the key with the wavy Microsoft logo on top.
