Random Shutdowns for no reason?

Hey guys,
I thought I had this problem fixed but I guess not. My computer will randomly turn off (as if I unplugged it) at different times. I have had it done twice in the last hour I tried removing RAM in case that was the problem NO CHANGE. I bought a brand new power supply yesterday because I thought my old one was bad. It is a thermaltake 600 watts, which is more than enough to run this PC. A few days before that I got a new motherboard from the manufacturer. I am literally stumped, the only other thing I can think of is if my power switch is getting stuck. I have no idea how to replace or rewire a switch though besides getting a new case. What are you guys thinking?

Please provide us with your Event Viewer administrative logs by following these steps:


Click Start Menu
Type eventvwr into Search programs and files (do not hit enter)
Right click eventvwr.exe and click Run as administrator
Expand Custom Views
Click Administrative Events
Right click Administrative Events
Save all Events in Custom View As...
Save them in a folder where you will remember which folder and save as Errors.evtx
Go to where you saved Errors.evtx
Right click Errors.evtx -> send to -> compressed (zipped) folder
Upload the .zip file here.

Your event viewer log jumps from 2010 till today with no entries. I can only say that today you had several "unexpected" shutdowns.

Any idea why the log jumps from the ancient past till today?

Whenever I first got my motherboard back the date and time was set to august I just now reset it today. So we learned nothing from that?

Hum, just a reset shouldn't do that but would explain it.

All we learned is that you have had frequent unexpected (event ID 41 cause 63) shutdowns.

Is your cpu OC as well as your GPU?

Well the most frequent cause of instant shutdown is heat. You might want to download cpu-z (free) to keep and eye on the temps, gpu-z for the gpu.

Post the evtvwr in a couple and we can take a look
