Re-installing Win7 Home Premium Files

Nothing more from anyone?.....

UPDATE ANYWAY -

Using a 3rd party software - I wanted to see how fragmented this HD was and found it said 95% !

Looks like it will take all night to defrag if it can.

Had to take a sanity break from all of this...

I copied my brothers' corrupt hard drive to a partition on another...Using mini-partition-wizard tech, hit "explore" and see some interesting files...

System volume Info
Restore
Windows Image Back Up

Can I use any of these files on it's own to put back the drive before it got messed up....It took a dump BEFORE the beginning of March (2020).

shadowcopyview shows any shadow copies. Select one and it shows all the folders and files in the shadow copy. You can rt click each of the contents and copy them out.

**************

I don't recall if I asked this but, would this allow me access to a restore point where I could click on "start-restore-restore computer to an earlier time-etc"" so-to-speak, and the computer would then "restore itself"?

No.

It does exactly as described:

shadowcopyview shows any shadow copies. Select one and it shows all the folders and files in the shadow copy. You can rt click each of the contents and copy them out.
