RE -Non access to Adobe API-MS-win-core-winrt file missing

Has anyone gotten an update on the Adobe note about above file missing. I am still completely locked out of all my adobe files.
What I found out is that if I attach the file to an e-mail addressed to myself, I can then open it.
However I can no longer open any saved .pdf files. An earlier post said Adobe was trying to fix but not sure when they would get to windows 7. Any updates on this? It is messing up my life

right click on your pdf file and then open with Google chrome or firefox

There are alternatives like foxit reader. Download Foxit PDF Reader 2023.2.0.21408 for windows - Filepuma.com Note that I have this version installed now. The official website says Windows 10 & 11 only but on that website even the newest says compatible with 7.

A couple suggestions.

You can go into Task Manager and disable it if it is causing problems until they come up with a fix. I save a lot of my software installs so I'm hoping I have a old version to reinstall. Food luck and keep an ear out for solutions.
