I have installed the latest drivers for this new MB and still it tells me in Device manager that HD Audio has been disabled and is using a M/S driver.
OK it may be me with this new OS so bear with me, I have looked in control panel and it tells me no audio installed.... I then look at device manager and there is NO audio/sound tab and under system it does show HD Audio but says it is disabled.
I am confused, any help PLEASE I really want to watch a Blue Ray this weekend....LOL

Is the Integrated Audio (or may be labeled HD Audio) in the BIOS enabled?

Also, when you first installed Win 7, many motherboards require "chipset drivers" and the chipset drivers usually need to be installed BEFORE installing sound drivers. One of the main things the chipset drivers do is define (identify) all the devices on the motherboard. Basically it's (1) Install OS (2) Install chipset drivers (3) Install device drivers.
